Live Fire Extinguisher Training

Course Description

This course is designed to address all information required in order to select and safely use a portable fire extinguisher in the workplace.
Instruction Time

This course is typically covered over one day in classroom training with instruction taking approximately 3 – 4 hours. This includes testing, both written and practical.

**Please note that all breaks, including lunch, are separate and not included in instruction time**

• Components of Fire
• Live Fire Fighting Techniques on a propane fueled simulator
• Extinguishing Agents
• Fire Extinguishers and the Classes of Fires
• Fire Extinguisher Operation
• General Guidelines to adhere to when fighting fires
