Chainsaw Safety Training

Course Description

This course is designed so that upon completion participants will have a working knowledge of the requirements, guidelines and procedures to operate and maintain chainsaw safety.

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of the training participants will have an understanding of:

• Operating hazards
• Safety features
• Maintenance requirements
• Chain and bar features
• Personal protective equipment
• Fueling and starting procedures
• Handling and cutting techniques

 Instruction Time

Approx. 3-4 hours
Includes:  Adaptive Learning Instruction, Testing (both written and practical)

 Target Audience

Any worker whose occupation requires them to work with a chainsaw as part of their job description or to complete a task.

 Course Materials

Participant manual, wallet card, record of attendance
