Arc Flash Awareness Training

Course Description

This course is designed to highlight the importance of operating Arc Welding Equipment safely as well as to demonstrate the correct and safe way to perform some of the most common welds.

Instruction Time

This course is typically covered over one day in classroom training with instruction taking approximately 1.5 hours. This includes testing, both written and practical.

**Please note that all breaks, including lunch, are separate and not included in instruction time**

• Explanation of the Arc Welding Process and how it works
• Workshop and Equipment Safety
• Personal Safey
• “Arc” or “Welders” Flash
• Striking the Arc
• Making a Weld Run
• Welding Faults – How they occur and how to prevent them
