Bloodborne Pathogens Training

Course Description

This course in designed to increase awareness of Bloodborne Pathogens in the workplace. It will also increase awareness of the standards for worker responsibility in observing and being active in daily safety procedures.

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of the training participants will be able to:

• List the different types of Bloodborne pathogens
• Identify the routes of transmission
• Be knowledgeable in pre/ post-exposure control measures
• Recognize how to report exposure incidents

Instruction Time

Approx. 4 hours
Includes:  Adaptive Learning Instruction, Testing (both written and practical)

Target Audience

Any workers whose occupations require them to work closely with or exposes them to body fluids. Including: healthcare workers, dental workers, tattoo artists, emergency responders, estheticians, childcare and school workers, hotel housekeepers

Course Materials

Participant manual, wallet card, record of attendance
