SUMMARY:Working At Heights - Construction
DESCRIPTION:Course Description\nThe NEW Working At Heights course focuses on the daily needs of the end user (the employee) for safe work practices in regards to fall arrest protection and systems. The course includes information about the different types of fall protection\, what personal protective equipment to use\, emergency procedures and how to calculate fall clearances. \nThis course will explain in detail what you need to know\, emphasize key points and test your knowledge retention. This course is required by many groups within the “construction” industry and may require additional training from employers or supervisors. By doing both theory and practical on-site training\, the employer is doing their “Due Diligence” in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Regulations. \nClasses are limited to 12 participants at any one time. \nInstruction Time\nThis course will take approximately 8 hours\n(depending on size of group and levels of experience). \nThis includes testing\, both written and practical.\n**Please note that all breaks\, including lunch\, are separate and not included in instruction time** \nCompulsory Modules\nThe following Topics will be covered during this course: \nModule 1 Working at Heights Basic Theory Module  \n\nRights and Responsibilities\nIdentification of the Hazards of Working at Heights\nEliminating or Controlling the Hazards of Working at Heights\nWarning Methods and Physical Barriers\nLadders and Similar Equipment\nPersonal Fall Protection Equipment\n\nModule 2 Working at Heights Practical Equipment Module  \n\nBarriers and Safety Nets\nPersonal Fall Protection Equipment\nAnchor Points\nWork Positioning Systems\nWork Access Equipment\nPlatforms Rescue Planning\n\n**Please note WorkSmart Safety Solutions meets OHSA REGULATIONS and CSA STANDARDS** Every Workplace in Ontario must comply with: OHSA

DESCRIPTION:Course Description\nWorkSmart’s Transporting Dangerous Goods (TDG) Training program is designed to meet all current government standards. \nTransport Dangerous Goods (TDG) are those products and substances classified as dangerous by federal and provincial legislation. Transport of these products by air\, marine\, rail\, and road is regulated under the federal Transport of Dangerous Goods Act\, 1992. The safe handling and transportation regulations require the proper signs and labels to be used to identify all dangerous goods. \nThe TDG Clear Language Regulations requires that any person who handles\, offers for transport\, or transports dangerous goods must be adequately trained and hold a training certificate.
